Tribal Enrollment
The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina ENROLLMENT APPLICATION Applications for tribal enrollment may be downloaded below. All instructions must be followed. Enrollment Application (requires Adobe Acrobat and print on legal size paper) Lineage Chart (requires Adobe Acrobat and print on legal size paper) Applicant should have all requested documents and a completed application prior to their scheduled appointment. No applications will be processed without supporting documentation and a complete application. Applicant must bring application at the time of their scheduled appointment. Any person needing assistance in completing the Enrollment Application or Lineage Chart, please contact our office for assistance. REPLACEMENT CARDS/RE-CERTIFICATION The deadline for re-certifying cards has been extended until June 23, 2009. This deadline only applies to members currently enrolled with the Lumbee Tribe. Re-certification does not apply to individulas who have yet to be enrolled. Click here to view Enrollment Ordinance. To update their information tribal members must appear at the Office of Tribal Enrollment and Records and present their old enrollment card, a driver’s license or picture identification, and a certified birth certificate with parents names listed. Exceptions are those who are incapacitated, incarcerated, elderly (55 years of age or older), or members of the Armed Forces of the United States. Under these circumstances, individuals may authorize someone to act on their behalf. Senior citizens, age 62 and older, cards are free of charge. Enrolled members under the age of 18 will be issued a verification form free of charge in lieu of card by request of parent.. For a fee of $5 a new tribal enrollment card can be obtained. The MNAA Board of Directors have created the following committees for 2010-2011: Membership (TBA), Building Fund/Grounds (TBA), Children’s Christmas Party, Adult/Seniors Christmas Party, Native American Toy Run, Social/Annual Fish Fry, and Newsletter. If you are interested in volunteering or contributing, please contact the appropriate Board Members as listed above. Community involvement and support is needed.
